Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Guizhi and Gegen Decoction combined with therapy of rod point-pressing on cervical spondylosis.Methods A total of 120 patients with cervical spondylosis treated in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology,Bozhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group 1(40 cases),control group 2(40 cases)and observation group(40 cases)according to random number table method.The patients in control group 1 were treated with Guizhi and Gegen Decoction orally,1 dose once a day,in the morning and evening,for 2 weeks.The patients in the control group 2 were treat-ed with rod point-pressing technique therapy,once every 3 days for 2 weeks.The observation group was treated with Guizhi and Gegen Decoction combination with rod point-pressing technique therapy for 2 weeks.The visual analogue scale(VAS),neck disability index(NDI)and clinical efficacy of the three groups were compared before and after treatment.Results The VAS score and NDI function score of the three groups after treatment were lower than before treatment in the same group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05),and the VAS score and NDI function score of the observation group were lower than those of control group 1 and control group 2,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The curative effect of observation group was better than control group 1 and control group 2,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.017).Conclusion Guizhi and Gegen Decoction combined with rod point-pressing technique therapy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms,relieve pain and improve the cervical spine function of cervical-type cervical spondylosis.
