Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of ultrasound combined with mobilization with movement on lateral epicondylitis and compare it with ultrasound alone. Methods Fifty patients diagnosed with lateral epicondylitis admitted to the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Medicine of Quanzhou First Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group(n=25)and treatment group(n=25)by random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional ultrasound, and the treatment group was combined with mobilization with movement on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.Pain visual ana-logue scale(VAS),pain-free grip strength test(PFG)and the patient-rated tennis elbow evaluation(PRTEE)were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS score,PRTEE score and PFG value between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS score and PRTEE score of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),the PFG value in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,VAS score and PRTEE score of the two groups were lower than before treatment,PFG value was higher than before treat-ment,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of lateral epicondylitis with ultra-sound alone or combined mobilization with movement can improve the VAS score,PRTEE score and PFG score of patients, but the efficacy of ultrasound combined mobilization with movement is significantly better than that of ultrasound alone, which is suitable for clinical promotion.
