Objective To explore the application effect of Chaihu Shugan Powder combined with Yueju Pills in the treat-ment of depression and qi depression.Methods A total of 90 patients with depression and qi stagnation admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into a study group(45 cases)and a control group(45 cases)according to a random number table method.The control group took Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Capsules,and the study group was treated with Chaihu Shugan Powder combined with Yueju Pills on top of that.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,depression improvement score,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 93.33％,which was higher than that of the control group(75.56％),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,Hamilton Depression Rating Scale,and self-rating depression scale scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of Chaihu Shugan Powder combined with Yueju Pills in the treatment of depression and qi stagnation can achieve significant effects,effectively alleviate various clinical symptoms in patients,reduce scores on various depression scales,improve depression conditions,and have fewer adverse reactions and higher safety,which is worthy of promotion and application.
