Effect of Shenglong Jiegu Capsules on postoperative bone metabolism in-dicators and lumbar function in patients with osteoporosis thoracic and lumbar vertebral fractures
Objective To explore the effect of postoperative use of Shenglong Jiegu Capsules on patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar fractures(OTLF).Methods A total of eighty patients with OTLF admitted to Nanchang Hongdu Hospital of TCM from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects and they were divided into control group(40 cases)and observation group(40 cases)according to random number table method.The control group received postoperative treat-ment with calcitriol capsules.The observation group was treated with Shenglong Jiegu Capsules on the basis of the control group,both of which were treated for three months.The bone metabolism indicators,pain level,lumbar spine function,bone density,and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the levels of bone alkaline phos-phatase(BALP)and osteocalcin(BGP)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,while the levels of C-terminus peptide of type Ⅰ collagen(CTX-Ⅰ)were lower than those in the control group,and the bone density in various parts was higher than that in the control group,and the Oswestry disability index(ODI)score and visual analog scale(VAS)score were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Postoperative use of Shenglong Jiegu Capsules in OTLF patients can effectively alleviate postoperative pain,regulate bone density and bone metabolism indicators,improve postoperative lumbar spine function,and have good safety.
