Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of total hip arthroplasty(THA)and hollow screw internal fixation in the treatment of patients with femoral neck fractures. Methods A total of eighty patients with femoral neck fractures admitted to Yichun Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the study objects and they were divided into observation group(40 cases)and control group(40 cases)according to random number table method. The control group underwent internal fixation surgery, while the observation group received THA treatment. The clinical indica-tors,hip joint function recovery, and surgical safety between the two groups were observed until 3 months after surgery and compared. Results The surgical time([80.48±10.24]min)and hospitalization time([19.45±1.89]d)in the observation group were longer than those in the control group([59.35±7.85]min,[15.29±3.14]d),and the fracture healing time([11.38±1.41]weeks])was shorter than that in the control group([13.14±2.08]weeks),and the amount of bleeding([167.44±29.42]ml])was more than that in the control group([78.72±12.59]ml),and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).The excellent recovery rate of hip joint function in the observation group was higher than that in the con-trol group, and the incidence of complications was less than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of internal fixation surgery in the treatment of femoral neck fractures has advan-tages such as shorter treatment time and less bleeding. However,TH A has fewer postoperative complications, shorter frac-ture healing time, and better joint function recovery.Patients can choose a reasonable surgical method based on their own situation.
