Clinical study on modified Qingshu Yiqi Decoction in the treatment of ac-quired immune deficiency syndrome complicated with pneumocystis pneumonia with qi-yin deficiency and phlegm heat syndrome
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of modified Qingshu Yiqi decoction in the treatment of acquired im-mune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)complicated with pneumocystis pneumonia(PCP)with qi-yin deficiency and phlegm heat syndrome. Methods Sixty patients with AIDS combined with PCP admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Ganzhou from January 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,on this basis, the treatment group was treated with Qingshu Yiqi Decoction.Clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, laboratory indicators, blood gas indicators, and safety were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).T lymphocyte count(CD4+)and albumin(ALB)level of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).White blood cell count(WBC)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)level were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Blood oxygen saturation(SaO2)of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total in-cidence of adverse events in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Applying modified Qingshu Yiqi decoction to treat AIDS patients with PCP of qi-yin deficiency and phlegm heat syndrome can effectively improve ther-apeutic effect, alleviate symptoms, improve blood gas indicators, increase blood oxygen saturation, and reduce the incidence of adverse events.
