Study on cognitive function status and influencing factors of disabled el-derly in pension institutions of combination of medical and nursing care
Objective To explore the cognitive function status and related factors of disabled elderly in pension institutions,and provide theoretical basis for strengthening cognitive assessment of disabled elderly and establishing risk prevention mechanism of cognitive impairment.Methods By convenient sampling method,134 disabled elderly people who were ad-mitted to a pension institutions in Guangzhou from January to April 2023 were selected as the research objects.The general data questionnaire,cognitive function and depression status of disabled elderly people were investigated.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of cognitive function in disabled elderly.Results 29.85％(40/134)of disabled elderly with cognitive dysfunction in pension institutions,and the cognitive function score was(22.87±6.52).Mul-tiple linear regression analysis showed that age,disability degree and depression score were risk factors for cognitive function score of disabled elderly,and education level and disability status were protective factors for cognitive function score of dis-abled elderly(P＜0.05).Conclusion The cognitive function of disabled elderly people in pension institutions is low.It is suggested that institutions strengthen the assessment and intervention of cognitive function of elderly people with disability,low education level,severe disability and depression.
