Objective To explore the nursing application of sucking lollipop before painless oocyte retrieval in infertile pa-tients.Methods A total of 240 patients who underwent in vitro fertilization(IVF)and painless oocyte retrieval in Nanchang Reproductive Medicine Hospital from March 2022 to December 2023 were selected as study objects and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 120 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine nursing mode before painless oocyte retrieval.The observation group was treated with sucking lol-lipop before painless oocyte retrieval and showed humanistic care.The generalized anxiety disorder-7(GAD-7)and patient health questionnaire-9(PHQ-9),numerical rating scale(NRS)and hunger scale(HS),postoperative adverse reactions,bleeding incidence and overall satisfaction with nursing were compared between the two groups.Results The scores of GAD-7 and PHQ-9 in the observation group after nursing were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The NRS and HS scores of observation group were lower than those of control group after nursing,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in observa-tion group was lower than that in control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of bleeding after nursing between the two groups(P＞0.05).The total satisfaction of nursing in observation group was higher than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclu-sion It is safe and effective to suck lollipops to show humanistic care for infertility patients before painless egg retrieval,which can alleviate their anxiety and depression,relieve their postoperative pain and hunger,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and improve their satisfaction with nursing.It can provide a new nursing idea for infertility patients before painless egg retrieval by IVF.
