Objective To explore the effect of programmed pain management on restlessness during recovery in elderly pa-tients with femoral neck fracture. Methods A total of 60 patients with femoral neck fracture admitted to Ji'an Central Peo-ple's Hospital from May 2020 to May 2021 were selected as the study objects, they were divided into the observation group(n=30)and the control group(n=30)according to random number table method. Both groups received hip replacement, the control group received conventional care, and the observation group received programmed pain management.Postoperative recovery time, extubation time, agitation score(Riker sedation-agitation scale[SAS]),rehabilitation index(Harris hip score[HHS]),modified Barthel index[MBI])and pain degree(visual analogue scale[VAS])were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in postoperative recovery time and extubation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The scores of SAS and VAS in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the scores of HHS and MBI in the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statis-tically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Programmed pain management can effectively improve restlessness, hip function, daily life and pain perception in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture.
