Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and morphological impact of the patellar pushing and knee bending method in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 90 KOA patients from the acupuncture and Mas-sage Center,Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Third Clinical Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the test group and the control group by ran-dom number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received conventional massage therapy, while the experimental group received push the patella and bend the knee therapy. The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities(WOMAC)scores, joint morphology, and clinical efficacy between two groups of knee osteoarthritis were compared.Re-sults The total effective rate of the experimental group after treatment was higher than that of the control group, and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the WOMAC scores of both groups were lower than those be-fore treatment, and the WOMAC scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the depth of fluid accumulation and synovial thickness in the affected side of the suprapatellar capsule were both lower than before treatment in this group, and the depth of fluid accumu-lation and synovial thickness in the affected side of the suprapatellar capsule in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of knee os-teoarthritis by pushing the patella and bending the knee can improve clinical efficacy, alleviate knee joint pain, improve knee joint function, improve suprapatellar capsule effusion and synovial thickness, and provide new basis for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
