Objective To analyze the data of patients in the outpatient department of endocrinology of a Class A tertiary general hospital,and understand the disease types,structural changes and dynamic trends of the outpatient department of endocrinology in this region.Methods From January 1,2019 to December 31,2022,the gender,age,disease diagnosis,visit time and other information of patients in the Department of Endocrinology,People's Hospital of Yangjiang were collected for descriptive analysis.Results A total of 108 066 patients in the Department of Endocrinology had valid data,which showed an increasing trend year by year.The gender ratio was 0.64∶1,and the average age was(51.63±18.68)years.The propor-tion of patients over 55 years old was 52.33%,the proportion of patients between 35 and<55 years old was 28.17%,and the proportion of patients between 25 and<35 years old was 9.33%.Type 2 diabetes ranked first,accounting for 64.85%,hy-perthyroidism ranked second,accounting for 14.39%,hypothyroidism rose from the fifth to the third,central precocious puberty rose from the seventh to the fourth,and thyroid nodules rose from the tenth to the sixth.Conclusion The analysis of disease spectrum and dynamic trend of patients in endocrinology outpatients can clarify the disease composition and change trend of patients.In line with the concept of"internal strong technology,external excellent service",the Department of Endocrinology should build a community health service center and a Class A tertiary hospital medical alliance management model in accordance with the affiliated units of the medical alliance,and set up a diabetes nursing team and diabetes specialist nursing clinic,so as to improve the treatment compliance of patients,reduce the psychological pressure of patients and improve the quality of life.
