Objective To explore the effect of five-element music combined with emotional nursing therapy on pain and mood states in patients with gemellary pregnancy undergoing cesarean section. Methods A total of 80 patients with gemel-lary pregnancy after cesarean section admitted to Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group with 40 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given five-element music combined with emotional nursing therapy on the basis of the control group. The differences of visual analogue scale(VAS)score and profile of mood states-short form(POMS-SF)score between the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results The pain scores of the patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 12,24,72 h after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of each dimension of mood state between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the scores of depression-frustration,confusion-chaos,tension-anxiety dimension and fatigue-impairment in the mood state of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the score of energy-vitality dimension was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Five-element music combined with emotional nursing therapy can effectively relieve the pain of patients with gemellary pregnancy after cesarean section, reduce negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, and improve the mood states of parturients.
