Objective To compile the health education path table of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine,and explore the effect of its application in the nursing of hospitalized diabetic patients.Methods A total of 60 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to Longhua Hospital Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September to November 2019 were selected as research objects and they were divided into the control group(30 cases)and the experi-mental group(30 cases)by random number table method.The control group was given routine health education,and the ex-perimental group was given health education path of integrated Chinese and western medicine.Blood glucose control,knowledge mastery,self-efficacy,hospitalization days,hospitalization costs and satisfaction with nursing services were com-pared between the two groups.Results The blood glucose control level,the score of diabetes-related knowledge question-naire,the total score of self-efficacy and the satisfaction of nursing service quality in experimental group were higher than those in control group,with statistical significances(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in hospitalization days and expenses between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The implementation of health education path of integrated Chinese and western medicine can optimize the effect of health education for diabetes patients,improve the level of blood sugar control of patients,enhance the degree of knowledge mastery and self-efficacy,and improve patient satisfaction.
