Clinical effect of Lingshu Kaihe turbid-toxin acupuncture combined with external use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee os-teoarthritis caused by cold-damp obstruction
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Lingshu Kaihe turbid-toxin acupuncture combined with external use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis caused by cold-damp obstruction.Methods A total of 130 knee osteoarthritis patients with cold-damp obstruction who were admitted to the Third Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology,the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Chinese Medicine from January to December 2023 and met the relevant standard requirements were selected as the research objects.They were divided into treatment group(65 cases)and control group(65 cases)by alternating grouping method.The treatment group was treated with Lingshu Kaihe turbid-toxin acupuncture combined with external use of traditional Chinese medicine,and the control group was treated with external use of traditional Chinese medicine.Before and after treatment,the visual analogue scale(VAS),Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)score,interleukin-1(IL-1)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels were recorded in the two groups,and the therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Results The VAS,WOMAC scores,IL-1 and TNF-α levels of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the VAS,WOMAC scores,IL-1 and TNF-α levels of the treatment group after treatment were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Lingshu Kaihe turbid-toxin acupuncture combined with external use of traditional Chinese medicine is effective in the clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis caused by cold-damp obstruction.It can relieve the pain of patients to a certain extent,and has the characteristics of simple and cheap,which is worthy of research and promotion.
