Epidemiological characteristics of post-traumatic stress disorder caused by military training injuries in Guangdong Provincial Corps of the Chi-nese People's Armed Police Force Hospital
Objective To explore the epidemiological characteristics of post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)caused by military training injuries in Guangdong Provincial Corps of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force Hospital,and to pro-vide evidence for prevention and control strategies.Methods Soldiers with military training injuries treated in Guangdong Provincial Corps of the Chinese people's Armed Police Force from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research ob-jects by objective sampling method.A cross-sectional investigation was conducted,questionnaires and post-traumatic stress disorder checklist-5(PCL-5)were used to investigate the soldiers with military training injuries.Results A total of 683 questionnaires were sent out,and 645 were valid.The overall detection rate of PTSD caused by military training injuries was 4.96%.Military training injuries occurred mainly in males(99.22%),18-<26 years old(71.74%),rural residents(50.07%),unmarried(83.41%)and soldiers(68.99%).In descending order,the diseases were limb fracture,ligament soft tissue injury,joint dislocation,spinal injury and craniocerebral injury.Limb fracture(48.99%),ligament soft tissue injury(26.36%)and spinal injury(3.72%)were the top three diseases with the highest proportion of PTSD caused by military training injuries,while craniocerebral injury(18.18%),spinal injury(16.67%)and limb fracture(5.38%)were more likely to be positive for PTSD.Conclusion The PTSD caused by military training injuries should be paid more attention to,so as to reduce the oc-currence of military training injuries,reduce the incidence of PTSD and ensure the safety of military training.
