Objective To analyze the current situation of health resource allocation in western China in 2020,and compre-hensively evaluates various indicators of health resource allocation in western China,so as to provide basis and reference for health departments to optimize health resource allocation.Methods The status quo of health allocation indicators in 12 provinces,autonomous and municipalities regions in western China from January to December 2020 were described.The comprehensive score of each factor index is obtained by the factor analysis method,and then the comprehensive evaluation was carried out.Results There were 7.71 health technicians,2.79 practicing doctors and 3.32 registered nurses per 1 000 population,all lower than the national average of 7.76,2.96 and 3.38.The proportion of government health expenditure,so-cial health expenditure and personal health expenditure were 31.80%,40.63%and 27.57%,respectively.The proportion of government health expenditure in the western region was higher than the national average of 27.36%.The total number of medical and health institutions was 26 243,lower than the national average of 32 997,and the number of beds per 1 000 people was 6.70,slightly higher than the national average of 6.47.Sichuan Province and Shaanxi Province have a higher overall ranking in the western region.Conclusion On the one hand,we should increase the construction and training of health human resources in the western region.Relevant departments should introduce policies to attract and retain health talents.On the other hand,it is necessary to expand the scale of health resources construction,increase government investment,scientific health publicity,and improve public health awareness.
