Objective To explore the application effect of hospital discharge preparation service in the rehabilitation of pa-tients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary dis-ease admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study objects and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine hospital discharge service, and the observation group received hospital discharge preparation service. The intervention lasted for 3 months.Respiratory training compliance, lung function, daily living ability and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total compliance of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Af-ter 3 months of intervention, forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in the first second, peak expiratory flow, forced expiratory volume in the first second/forced vital capacity, and modified Barthel index(MBI)score in two groups were higher than before intervention, and scores in all dimensions of St.George's respiratory questionnaire(SGRQ)were lower than before intervention, with statistical significances(P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, forced vital capacity, forced ex-piratory volume at the first second, peak expiratory flow, forced expiratory volume at the first second/forced vital capacity, and MBI score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and scores in all dimensions of SGRQ scores were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion Hospital discharge preparation service can improve the respiratory training compliance of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, improve lung function, improve daily living ability and quality of life.
