Objective To investigate the clinical effect of three-color paste combined with PRICE therapy on acute ankle sprain of degree Ⅰ and Ⅱ.Methods A total of 52 patients with acute ankle sprains of Ⅰ and Ⅱ degrees admitted to the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiading from February 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,including 35 emergency patients and 17 outpatients.They were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,one case was lost to follow-up in each group,and 25 cases in each group were included in the research.The control group was treated with PRICE therapy,and the observation group was treated with three-color paste combined with PRICE method.Both groups were treated for 1 week.After treatment,vi-sual analogue scale(VAS)scores and Mazur function score were compared between the two groups before treatment and the 1st and 3rd week after treatment.Results Among the 52 patients,50 were followed up for no less than 4 weeks.After 1 and 3 weeks of treatment,the Mazur function scores in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,the VAS score of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the Mazur function scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Three-color paste combined with PRICE therapy can obtain bet-ter curative effect in the treatment of acute ankle sprains of Ⅰ and Ⅱ degrees,which has important clinical value and popu-larization significance.
