Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of C-Root SP hot gum filling technique in root canal treatment.Methods A total of 108 patients(108 affected teeth)who underwent root canal treatment at the School of Stomatology,Hu-nan University of Chinese Medicine from December 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into a control group(54 cases,54 affected teeth)and an observation group(54 cases,54 affected teeth)according to random number table method.The control group was treated with AH Plus hot gum filling technology,while the observation group was treated with C-Root SP hot gum filling technology.The quality of root canal filling,lateral branch root canal filling rate,pain level,and periapical index(PAI)were campared between two groups.Results The lateral branch root canal filling rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the postoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)score was lower than that in the control group,and the postoperative PAI grade was lower than that in the control group,with sta-tistical significance(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in just filling rate of root canal filling(P＞0.05).Conclusion The use of C-Root SP hot gum filling technology in root canal treatment can achieve good root canal filling quality,improve lateral branch root canal filling rate,reduce pain level,and promote periapical lesion healing.
