Objective To observe the effect of dental implant repair in the treatment of dental implant defect with periodon-titis and analyze the effect on periodontal index.Methods The clinical data of 120 patients with dentition defect with peri-odontitis admitted to Hefei Stomatological Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.Ac-cording to different treatment methods,the patients were divided into study group(60 cases)and control group(60 cases).The control group was treated with traditional repair therapy,and the study group was treated with oral implant repair thera-py.Periodontal index,inflammatory factor levels,marginal bone uptake,matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)levels,implant re-tention ratewere compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results The implant retention rate of study group was higher than that of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the plaque index(PLI),pocket depth(PD),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),MMPs level,C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-1 β(IL-1 β),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)of the study group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in marginal bone absorption(MBL)between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Oral implant repair has a significant effect on denti-tion defects,with a high retention rate of implants,and will not increase alveolar bone absorption,but will stimulate the body and cause inflammation,and has no obvious improvement effect on periodontitis.
