Objective To explore the effect of auricular pressure beans combined with gastrointestinal exercises on consti-pation in hospitalized schizophrenic patients.Methods A total of 80 patients with schizophrenia admitted to the Department of Psychiatry,Jiangxi Psychiatric Hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into observation group(40 cases)and control group(40 cases)according to random number table method.The control group was intervened by auricular pressure beans,and the observation group was additionally treated with gastrointestinal exercis-es.The intervention effect,constipation,quality of life and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statis-tically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in constipation and quality of life between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).Constipation clinical symptom scale(CSS)in the frequency of defecation,defecation effort,defecation time,defecation feeling,defecation frequency,stool characteristics,abdominal pain and swelling scores were higher than those in the control group,the scores of emotional function,social function,vital vitality,mental health,mental health,physiological function,physiological function and physical pain of the 36-item short form health survey(SF-36)were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the observation group was 95.00%,which was higher than 80.00%of the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion Auricular pressure beans combined with gastrointestinal exercises can enhance the inter-vention effect of constipation in hospitalized schizophrenic patients,relieve the degree of constipation,improve the quality of life,and obtain higher patient satisfaction.
