Objective To analyze the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3(25-[OH]D3)and type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy.Methods A total of 104 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to Xingguo Hospital Affiliated to Gannan Medical University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects,including 52 pa-tients with simple type 2 diabetes mellitus as the control group and 52 patients with type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy as the observation group.The general data of the two groups of patients were collected,and the fasting blood of the two groups of patients were sent for examination,and the biochemical indexes were detected in the laboratory environment.Multivariate binary logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy.Results The deficiency rate of serum 25-(OH)D3 in observation group was higher than that in control group,the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).The duration of diabetes in observation group was longer than that in control group,the pro-portion of hypertension,fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin and total cholesterol levels were higher than those in control group,and the high density lipoprotein cholesterol and serum 25-(OH)D3 levels in observation group were lower than those in control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Multivariate binary logistic regression model showed that the glycosylated hemoglobin(β=1.106,OR=2.082,95%CI:1.086-4.021),duration of diabetes([3=1.821,OR=1.028,95%CI:1.021-1.046)were independent risk factors for type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy,and serum 25-(OH)D 3 was inde-pendent protective factor for type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy(β=-0.127,OR=0.875,95%CI:0.856-0.952).Conclu-sion The level of serum 25-(OH)D3 is low in patients with type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy.It is recommended to supplement the intake of serum 25-(OH)D3 in daily life in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to reduce the inci-dence of type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy.
