Objective:To explore the potential categories and influencing factors of personal mastery in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:A total of 343 patients with chronic heart failure were investigated by the General data Questionnaire,Personal Mastery Scale,Fear of Progression-Questionnaire-Short Form,Social Sup-port Rating Scale from three top three hospitals in Hunan Province.Potential profile analysis was used to explore the potential categories of personal mastery in patients with chronic heart failure. The influencing factors of its potential profile were identified by single factor analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results:The average score of the patients with chronic heart failure was 21.33±4.591,which could be divided into 4 categories:Low control group(18.1%),medium control group-weak group(23.3%),medium control group-helpless group(45.5%)and high control group(13.1%).Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that residence(C1vsC4:OR=0.329,95%CI0.139~0.782;C2vsC4:OR=0.216,95%CI0.079~0.587;C3vsC4:OR=3.746,95%CI1.798~7.805;C3vsC2OR=2.452,95%CI1.391~4.323),educati-on level(C1vsC4:OR=0.570,95%CI0.327~0.993;C2vsC4:OR=0.514,95%CI 0.265~0.996;C3vsC4:OR=0.596,95%CI0.363~0.979),family per capita monthly income(C3vsC4:OR=1.965,95%CI1.002~3.856),fear of disease progression(C2vsC4:OR=1.164,95%CI1.100~1.232;C1vsC2:OR=0.896,95%CI0.857~0.936;C3vsC2:OR=0.893,95%CI0.857~0.931)and social support(C1vsC4:OR=0.882,95%CI 0.841~0.924;C2vsC4:OR=0.878,95%CI0.834~0.925;C3vsC4:OR=0.874,95%CI0.836~0.913)were the factors influencing the potential categories of personal mastery in patients with chronic heart failure(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is heterogeneity in the sense of personal control in patients with chronic heart failure, which can be divided into 4 categories.According to the classification characteristics, nursing staff can develop personalized intervention strate-gies to improve the level of personal control,so as to improve the level of patients'disease self-management ability.
