Objective To understand the changes in health awareness of Chinese residents and its social influencing factors,so as to provide a scientific basis for guiding residents to form a proactive health concept, reducing health inequalities, and promoting the achievement of comprehensive and universal health for all in the event of a major public health emergency. Methods Based on the data of the comprehensive survey of chinese social conditions in 2021(CSS2021),the index system of residents'health awareness change was constructed, and the binary Logistic regression model was used to conduct an empirical study on the influencing factors of Chinese residents'health awareness change. Results After a major public health emergency,57.2%of Chinese residents experienced an enhancement in their health awareness. The eastern region had the highest percentage(59.2%),while the western region had the lowest(53.7%).Younger individuals, females, and those with higher levels of education exhibited greater improvements in health awareness.Several factors had a significant impact on changes in health awareness, including household economic status, occupation type, social participation, media trust, satisfaction with social security, and national identity(P<0.05).Conclusions The change of Chinese residents'health awareness exhibit disparities across different population groups, socioeconomic gradients, and social construction characteristics. It is necessary to establish media credibility to effectively disseminate health information, guide the public to participate in health management, and improve health education in remote areas and key groups in western China on the basis of improving the education level of the whole people. At the same time,we should cultivate a sense of national identity, increase residents'income, improve people's livelihood, such as social security, and consolidate the basic conditions for health promotion.
