Analysis of the current situation and influential factors of influenza vaccination among grassroots medical personnel in Yuyao city during the influenza season
Objective To investigate the influenza vaccination status of grassroots medical personnel and explore the factors that affect their vaccination behavior,providing a scientific basis for relevant departments to formulate immunization strategies.Methods A stratified cluster sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among medical staff in 12 community health service centers in Yuyao City,including basic information,knowledge of influenza and influenza vaccines,and related behaviors and reasons.A Logistic regression model was applied to analyze the influencing factors of vaccination behavior.Results A total of 796 valid questionnaires were collected;the awareness rate of influenza and influenza vaccine knowledge among the surveyed healthcare workers was 83.64%,and the influenza vaccination rate was 22.99%.Multifactorial Logistic regression analysis showed that being female(OR=5.921,95%CI:3.438-10.197),working in public health/preventive health departments(OR=18.996,95%CI:6.524-55.315),having 10-20 years of work experience(OR=4.536,95%CI:2.648-7.770),being married(OR=4.248,95%CI:2.082-8.668),and having received health education(OR=4.610,95%CI:1.886-11.271)were the influencing factors that promoted influenza vaccination among grassroots medical personnel in Yuyao City.Conclusions The influenza vaccine coverage rate of grassroots medical personnel in Yuyao City is relatively low,and targeted health education,as well as policies for free or discounted vaccination,are needed to improve the influenza vaccination rate.
