Objective To explore the effects of empowerment education combined with postpartum visit on maternal psychological state and neonatal nursing ability so as to provide basis for improving the psychological state of mothers and enhancing the health management outcomes of premature infants. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 100 mothers and premature infants.According to different management methods, they were divided into the conventional group(45 cases)and combination group(55 cases). The conventional group was given routine postnatal health management interventions, while combination group was given empowerment education combined with postnatal visit on basis of conventional group. The maternal psychological state was compared by Edinburgh postnatal depression scale(EPDS),breastfeeding self-efficacy scale(BSES)and parenting sense of competence scale(PSOC),parenting ability was evaluated by neonatal care ability questionnaire, feeding effect of premature infants was evaluated by feeding intolerance rate and daily milk intake, nutritional status and physical development of premature infants were analyzed by transferrin(TRF),albumin(ALB)and prealbumin(PA).Results Compared to before the intervention, both groups showed a decrease in EPDS scores and an increase in BSES,PSOC,care ability scores, and TRF,ALB,PA levels after the intervention, with the combined group showing greater improvements than the conventional group, and all differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The feeding intolerance rate of premature infants in combination group(7.27%)was lower than that in conventional group(22.22%),and the daily milk intake, weight gain, linear growth, and head circumference growth rate were(179.56±15.96)mL,(18.15±1.87)g/d,(1.15±0.14)mm/d,and(0.82±0.08)mm/d,respectively,all of which were higher than those in the conventional group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05).Conclusions The management effect of empowerment education combined with postpartum visit is significant, which can effectively improve maternal psychological state and parenting ability,as well as their psychological state and the nutritional status of premature infants.
