As a strategic institutional practice for the inner-party supervision of the Communist Party of China,po-litical inspection has a special position in the party and state supervision system.The inspection system takes political su-pervision as its core function,and at the same time shoulders the institutional mission of fighting against corruption.Therefore,it has a double-function structure of inner-party political supervision(core function)and collaborative anti-corruption(extended function).Its function of political inspection determines that the inspection system has some dis-tinct political supervision attributes.On this basis,its collaborative anti-corruption function is based on the theoretical logic of overcoming the externality of officials limited rationality,correcting the information gap of public power princi-pal-agent relationship and compensating for the loss of authority of power supervision.In the new era,in order to con-tinuously deepen the work of political inspection on the track of the rule of law,and to strengthen the institutional role of inspection supervision in promoting the basic strategy of"dare not to,must not,and want not to corrupt",we need to focus on the institutional constraints of inspection procedure norms,inspection power limitation norms,inspection effec-tiveness evaluation norms,inspection accountability norms and so on,so as to further improve the norms of procedures and the norms of power limitation,construct the supervision and evaluation mechanism of the effectiveness,activate and improve the accountability provisions of political inspection.
