The New Changes in the Geo-Security Environment in Northeast Asia and China's Countermeasures
Currently,China's political environment in Northeast Asia is complex and severe.The geopolitical game continues among the United States,Japan,South Korea,and North Korea,compounded by the United States'comprehensive strategic competition against China.Its main feature is to continue to exert extreme pressure on China,to hinder China's development.Northeast Asia has become one of the frontiers of the geopolitical environment for the U-nited States to shape's peaceful development.The United States'comprehensive strategic competition against China is a set of combos.It relies on the power of its allies to construct a geopolitical"seismic zone"against China,while Japan and South Korea have adopted a follower stance.The new trend in strategic cooperation among the United States,Japan,and South Korea is the emergence of three documents,i.e.the"Spirit of Camp David",the"Camp David Principles"and the"Commitment to Consult".It has promoted the trend of the geopolitical situation in Northeast Asia becoming camp-oriented.There is a paradox in Northeast Asia of whether to build an Asian version of NATO or to develop coop-eration among China,Japan and South Korea.The United States'comprehensive strategic competition against China is constructing a geo-security dilemma in Northeast Asia aimed at China,which carries the connotation of hostility towards China's peaceful development and is harmful to China's geo-security in Northeast Asia.The security dilemma in Northeast Asia goes against China's strategic interests of pursuing peace,stability,and prosperity in this region,but it is conducive to the United States'efforts to strengthen the US-Japan alliance and US-South Korea alliance,build an"Asi-an version of NATO"and contain China's rise.Whether China can break the security dilemma in Northeast Asia ulti-mately depends on the changes in the international system and the prospects for China's peaceful development.In the complex geopolitical environment of Northeast Asia,China is continuing to adhere to its peaceful development strategy and enhance its comprehensive national strength.In view of this,we should grasp the role of heads of state diplomacy in China-US relations in increasing trust,dispelling doubts,managing and controlling differences,and expanding coopera-tion,unite all peace-loving forces and advocate win-win cooperation,form an international united front for peaceful de-velopment in Northeast Asia,and promote trilateral cooperation of China,Japan and South Korea in a timely manner.At the same time,we must work hard to enhance China's national strength in upholding its peaceful development strategy,pursue a Northeast Asian security strategy that seeks peace through strength,stabilize the geo-security environment in Northeast Asia,and firmly safeguard China's national security interests in Northeast Asia.
