摘要
萨义德在《文化与帝国主义》一书中,从后殖民主义批评视角对简?奥斯丁的《曼斯菲尔德庄园》一书进行了分析,解读出小说中的帝国主义意识形态.文中拟对简?奥斯丁的四部小说《傲慢与偏见》《诺桑觉寺》《劝导》和《曼斯菲尔德庄园》进行对照分析,从民族身份认同的角度出发,来揭示小说中体现的帝国认同与帝国优越感.
Abstract
Based on Said's interpretation of imperialist ideology in Jane Austen's Mansfield Park from a post-colonialist perspective in his Culture and Imperialism, the paper presented a comparative study between Jane Austen's 4 novels, Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion and Mansfield Park from the perspective of ethical identity to reveal the imperial identity and superiority in these works.
