Based on Rogers'theory of"Free Learning",this paper summaries the meaning,theoretical basis and characteristics of informal learning,discusses the influencing factors of the forms of informal learning in higher vocational English,and constructs four forms of informal learning in vocational English:micro"individual relationship",small"contract relationship",medium"mutual assistance relationship"and large"community relationship".In order to adapt to the requirements of the development of the"Internet+"era,the status of informal learning should be enhanced,so that it can become a supplement to formal learning,and lay a good foundation for the construction of a learning society and the effective development of lifelong education.
