摘要
科技文本翻译的目的是理解、翻译、表达原文,真实准确地传译原始信息.科技文本多长句和被动句,注重过程描述,上下文关系紧密,多使用连词,其词汇专业性、逻辑性和客观性强.鉴于科技文本的特征,采用功能对等理论,对科技文本中的翻译方式和方法进行了分析,探讨科技英语的翻译策略,在保证其科学性、专业性和规范性的同时,更好地提升翻译质量.
Abstract
The purpose of translating scientific and technological texts is to comprehend,translate,and convey the original information accurately and faithfully.Scientific and technical texts often contain lengthy and passive voice sentences.They emphasize process descriptions,maintain a close contextual focus,utilize conjunctions,and employ professional,logical,and objective vocabulary.In consideration of the characteristics of scientific and technical texts,this paper utilizes the functional equivalence theory to analyze various methods in translating scientific and technical texts.It also discusses translation strategies for scientific and technical English to enhance translation quality,ensuring scientific accuracy,professionalism,and standardization.
