Studies on Fermentation Condition of Potato Residues by Alcohol Tolerance Bacillus subtilis
An alcohol tolerance efficient cellulose-degrading bacterium ZY62 was isolated. The bacterium was proven Bacillus subtilis by 16sRNA sequence analysis. The conditions of CMC enzyme production were optimized when fermented in potato residues and juice without any foreign substances. When B.subtilis was inoculated at 37 ℃, 150 r/min for 120 h without pH adjustment, the quality of single cell protein reached 18.5% of total fermentation product. The fermented product can partly replace soybean meal of the same weight in mouse feed test. The single cell protein from potato residues can be wildly used as feed in the future.
