Genetic Studies on Yield Per Plant of Mo17 and Its Improvedlines
Crosses were performed between 5 female parents from inbred lines of Lancaster groups ,and male plants from inbred lines of other groups using augmented NC Ⅱdesign to study the inheritance of yield per plant of Mo17 and its improved-lines .The results showed that the average heterosis of 30 cross combinations varied from 55.65% to 175.63% ,the highest superiority of the inbred was the early type inbred lines Zhe 917 × Dan 8415 (175.63% ) ,and the lowest superiority of the inbred was the late type inbred lines J1782 × Si -444 (55.65% ) . Combining ability analysis showed that the late type inbred lines Ji1037 (5.22 ) and Mo17 (2.79 ) had higher general combining ability of yield per plant in females , but the early type inbred lines He 344 (-3.00 ) and Zhe 917 (-4.97 ) had lower general combining a-bility . In 30 cross combinations , specific combining ability of 17 was positive , and J1782 × Ji853 (11.90 )had the highest specific combining ability effect value .The analysis showed that hybridization of Mo17 and its improvedlines with tangsipingtou and lvdahonggu inbred lines was more beneficial to hybrids of high yield per plant .The genetic model test showed that the inheritance of yield per plant of maize was consistent with additive-dominance-epistatic genetic model and it was partially dominant .
