Screening of Spent Mushroom Substrates Based on the Development of Multifunctional Microbial Fertilizer on Ginseng
In order to screen out spent mushroom substrates(SMS)and active strains for the formula-tion of multi-functional microbial fertilizer, the inhibitory activity of 11 kinds of SMS extracts against 8 main pathogens on ginseng was evaluated by plate confrontation method, and the effects of SMS on 6 biocontrol bacteria were evaluated by inhibitory zone method. The results showed that the extracts of SMS from Hericium erinaceus and Pleurotus eryngii had broad-spectrum antimicrobial activities against 8 major pathogenic fungi on Panax ginseng, and the obvious inhibitory effect on Rhizoctonia so-lani and Botrytis cinerea, the maximum diameters of inhibition zone reached 29.33 mm and 30.33 mm,respectively and they had no antagonistic activity against 6 biocontrol bacteria such as Bacillus amy-loliquefaciens.This study will lay a foundation for the creation of ginseng multifunctional microbial fertilizer, and it provides a new way for green recycling of spent mushroom substrates.
