Role of ILCs and Its Research Progress in Different Species
Inherent lymphoid cells(ILCs)are a newly discovered immune cell population in recent years, which can be divided into multiple subgroups according to the differential expression of their transcription factors and secreted cytokines. The discovery and studies of ILCs in the past decade have changed our view of immune regulation, especially the important role that ILCs play in main-taining tissue homeostasis. However, research on ILCs in different species is still in its infancy. This review of the classification of ILCs and its research progress in different species will help to further understand the biological characteristics of ILCs.
