Research on Strategies for Cultivating Cross-Cultural Communication Awareness among College Students in College English Education
With the increasing frequency of international exchanges and cooperation,English communication skills have become an essential skill for college students in their daily life and work.Due to the specific cultural attributes assigned to language by different cultural and historical environments,it is necessary to cultivate the cross-cultural communication awareness of college students,so that they can understand the impact of cultural differences on language communication and avoid understanding biases and cultural biases.Through the study of cross-cultural communication awareness, the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral factors that affect cross-cultural communication have been extracted. The current situation of cultivating cross-cultural communication awareness among college students has been analyzed from three dimensions:knowledge limitations, experience limitations, and disconnection between the content and actual application.Subsequently,it is proposed to construct a four-dimensional education goal system,a combination of fixed and optional courses, and an explicit and implicit cultural education method system, which provides a reference for the cultivation of cross-cultural communication awareness among college students in English.
