The current water resource situations and strategies of flood utilization in Baicheng City
Baicheng city lies in the west of Jilin province in dry areas which flood quantities concentrates in flood seasons of a year and varies through years severely and that the differences of water quantities in tempo-ral and spatial distribution is extremely obvious.The contradictory between water supply and demand is to be solved urgently.This paper aimed at the current use situation of water resources and the accessible storage space of flood,concluded the utilization pattern of this area through the analysis of the compensation properties of the mainstream and tributary.Last,it presented the problems of flood utilization and strategies which provid-ed methods and references on the reasonable exploration and sustainable utilization of flood resources.
