The purpose of this paper is to explore the nature,opportunities and challenges of the development of school sports in China under the background of digital transformation of education,and put forward the corresponding development path.The study used the methods of literature review and logical analysis to analyze the far-reaching impact of digital transformation on school physical education.The study found that the application of digital technology provides a personalized learning experience and rich teaching resources for school physical education,and at the same time promotes the development of teaching efficiency and students'physical and mental health.However,it also faces the dilemma of single digital application scenario,insufficient digital infrastructure,and digital literacy that needs to be improved.The research conclusions point out that strengthening digital technol-ogy education,promoting digital infrastructure construction and interdisciplinary integrated teaching are the key ways to promote the digital transformation of school physical education.This study provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the digital transformation of education,and is of great significance for promoting the modernization of school physical education.
