Research on Age-Friendly Design Practice for Smart Tourism Based on Grounded Theory:A Case Study of the'Elderly Travel Journal'Mobile Application
To address the difficulties elderly individuals face in using travel software, this study utilizes age-friendly smart design to help seniors better integrate into the information age.A survey of 187 elderly travel enthusiasts was conducted, with a stratified sample of 50 individuals aged between 60 and 65.Based on the survey results, grounded theory was employed to construct a theoretical model and identify factors influencing elderly users'difficulties with travel software.Five design dimensions for age-friendly smart tourism mobile applications were summarized from measurable and latent variables:interface design, functional hierarchy design, memory module design, interaction method design, and tourism social module design. These design elements cater to the physiological and psychological changes of the elderly, providing a more comfortable, convenient, and safe travel experience. They also serve as a reference for the improvement of future age-friendly smart tourism mobile applications.
