Implications of the Implementation of the New Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education
Against the backdrop of current education reform,the importance of aesthetic education is increasingly prominent.In order to thoroughly implement the"Opinions on Strengthening and Improving School Art Education in the New Era"jointly issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council,and actively respond to the trend of modern technology and cultural integration,the"Compulsory Education Curriculum Plan(2022 Edition)"was officially promulgated on April 21,2022,bringing new changes to the development of national art education.The new curriculum standards for art education emphasize the importance of socialist advanced culture,revolutionary culture,and excellent traditional Chinese culture,and are written around four core competencies-aesthetic perception,artistic expression,creative practice,and cultural understanding.The aim is to cultivate students'comprehensive qualities,improve their aesthetic and humanistic literacy,and meet the challenges of cultivating innovative and comprehensive talents.This initiative seeks to nurture competent builders and successors for the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
