Jilin University of Arts actively responds to the national call by deeply implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directives on aesthetic education.Recognizing its inescapable responsibility as a higher art institution in advancing aesthetic education in the new era,the academy convened the Symposium on the Integrated Development of Art Education Across Primary,Secondary,and Higher Education under the New Art Curriculum Standards.It advocated for the establishment of the"China Alliance for the Development of School Art Education"to thoroughly explore and address challenges encountered in the integrated development of art education.The effectiveness of aesthetic education in universities is closely related to the implementation of art education at primary and secondary school levels.Therefore,it is crucial to focus on building an integrated art education framework across all levels.Art courses should be designed progressively,adhering to a step-by-step and spiral-upward model with stratified and hierarchical content,curricular coherence,and organizational synergy.This approach aims to construct a comprehensive art education ecosystem,achieving the goals of educating through beauty,enriching individuals with beauty,and cultivating inner virtues with beauty.With the implementation of the New Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),exploring the integrated development of art education across all levels has significant implications for deepening comprehensive education reform,promoting the development of art education,and enhancing the quality of education.
