Exploring New Paths for Aesthetic Education Practices in Higher Education:A Case Study of the Art Education College at Jilin University of Arts
In October 2020,the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council jointly issued the Opinions on Fully Strengthening and Improving Aesthetic Education in Schools in the New Era,highlighting the multifaceted functions of aesthetic education,including aesthetic cultivation,moral education,emotional growth,and its critical role in enriching imagination and fostering innovation.In December 2023,the Ministry of Education released the Notice on Fully Implementing the School Aesthetic Education Immersion Initiative,emphasizing the cultivation of students'core competencies such as cultural understanding,aesthetic perception,artistic expression,and creative practice through aesthetic education immersion.This initiative aims to enhance students'cultural and spiritual lives,bringing greater joy,vitality,and well-rounded character development.Leveraging the resource strengths of the Art Education College at Jilin Academy of Arts and aligning with the practical needs of regional school aesthetic education development,this study explores new paths for aesthetic education practices in higher education from multiple dimensions,including curriculum design,teaching models,and art practice.The goal is to achieve a profound societal impact of art colleges in advancing aesthetic education immersion.
