Construction of College English Activity System Integrated with Moral Education Based on Activity Theory
Under the framework of social-cultural theory,this paper interprets the value of moral education in college English in terms of identity of core socialist values and traditional Chinese culture.Based on Activity Theo-ry,this study proposes a college English activity system,which consists of in-class teaching integrated with text-book-based ideological and political elements,as well as multiple after-class practices of"telling China's stories in English".With constant supply of dynamics and giving play to different components,the system aims at objec-tives of knowledge skills,language ability skill and value cultivation.Statistics based on this study reveals en-hancement in students'motivation,English language skill as well as competence in interpreting Chinese culture.The paper aims to explore the way to cultural self-reliance while enhancing students'cultural confidence.It is hoped that it may provide a reference framework for regular implementation of ideological and political education in college English courses.
