From"Digital Refugee"to"Digital Reciprocity":Building and Presenting the Value of an Ageing Network Civilization
Driven by the concepts of"active ageing"and"age-friendliness",the elderly are fully enjoying the digital convenience brought about by digital technology and intelligent services,and the realistic problems of the construction of an ageing cyberculture are becoming more and more apparent.Through participatory observation and in-depth interviews,this study takes senior citizens and mainstream senior citizens'network media as the research subjects,tries to define the concept of senior citizens'network civilization,analyses the current situation of senior citizens'network technological civilization,senior citizens'network spiritual and institutional civilizations,and pays special attention to the demonstrative role of elite senior citizens in the construction of network civilization.There are unavoidable problems such as the digital gap,stereotypes of the elderly and insufficient motivation to participate in the Internet civilization of the elderly.This study expects to promote the construction of a network civilization for the elderly through multi-dimensional policy support,multi-culture shaping,and multi-driving forces.
