Simulation Study on LNG-water Microchannel Heat Exchanger Performance
As a clean fossil energy source, liquefied natural gas(LNG)can be widely used as a fuel in engineering applications such as power generation, industrial heating, ship power, etc.,but it often needs to be preheated by a reliable heat exchanger before use.In order to investigate the reliability of a micro-channel-based high-efficiency heat transfer technology for LNG,this study simulates the heat transfer performance between LNG and high-temperature hot water inside the microchannel by numerical simula-tion.The results show that the total heat transfer coefficient of the microchannel heat exchanger can reach up to 1 993.4 W/(m2·K)and the heat transfer efficiency can reach up to 0.92 under four different working conditions.
