Research on Frequency Modulation Ability of Combined Cycle Generator Set Under Variable Working Conditions
With the transformation of energy structure, higher requirements are put forward for the peak and frequency regulation ability of generator sets.Gas-steam combined cycle power generation has fast response and is more suitable for peak regulation and frequency regulation. In this paper, the gas-steam combined cycle generator set is taken as an example to study its primary frequency modulation capacity under variable working conditions.A combined cycle unit model was built to evaluate the effects of ambi-ent temperature, inlet guide vane(IGV)and operating conditions on the primary frequency regulation re-sponse of the unit.At the same time, the performance of the generator set in the primary frequency regu-lation process under different power generation loads is studied. This study provides a theoretical basis and technical support for the frequency modulation control of the combined cycle generator set.
