"Autobiography"is a kind of text describing an author's own life."Biography"is a kind of text in which an author describes the lives of others.By investigating the Modern Chinese Writers'biography writingfrom 1929 to 1937in China,and comparing with the autobiographical works of modern Chinese writers in the same period,this paper finds that biography writing mainly presents the following four basic characteristics:the prosperity of short passages and the lack of long passages,the application of psychoanalysis,the further highlight of the"subjectivities"of the biography writers,and the presentation ofnarrative"interest".
