The Theoretical Innovation of Poulantzas'Thought of Relative National Autonomy and Its Value of Times——Starting from the"Instrumental Theory"and"Subject Theory"of the State
Poulantzas'theory of the State is of great significance in Marxist political theory.In Poulantzas'view,the state is neither a tool used at will by the ruling class,nor an omnipotent subject,but the condensation of class power relations,with relative autonomy.The debate between Poulantzas and Miliband is the background and starting point of his theory of relative national autonomy.On the basis of drawing on Gramsci's"hegemony"and Althusser's"surdetermination",he not only pointed out that the capitalist state has autonomy relative to the ruling class,but also made a unique theoretical analysis of the change of the social function of the capitalist state,the formation of the new petty bourgeoisie and the model of the welfare state.Poulantzas'theory of the state enriches and develops Marxist theory of the state,exposes the false scene of capitalist society,and has important enlightenment to the socialist governance of our country.
