Normative Dimension:the Contemporary Reflection on Habermas's Reconstruction of Historical Materialism
The issue of norms has been the central thesis of contemporary Western philosophy, and has a prominent position in the research fields of meta-ethics,philosophy of law and social philosophy.Norms are also the Ariadne's line of reconstruction of historical materialism by Habermas, the second-generation of the Frankfurt School. On the basis of completing the reconstruction of the normative structure of historical materialism,he emphasized the reality of moral norms and legal norms implied in it,and innovated the paradigm of modernity critique of the legitimacy crisis of late capitalism. However, the empty talk of"virtual"intersubjective interaction and learning without paying attention to the fundamental role of material productive forces and social labor makes Habermas'reconstruction of historical materialism fall into the Utopian dilemma of the Western philosophical tradition of"sitting on the sidelines",and its normative value is bound and restricted by the practical sense of the concept. Its normative value is bound and constrained in the practical sense. Therefore,in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,it is necessary to revisit Habermas'reconstruction of historical materialism,to raise the banner of Marxism, and to build a firm normative foundation for the realization of Chinese modernization on the basis of real-life practices.
