Cervical insufficiency is caused by congenital cervical dysplasia or acquired cervical injury functional defects and is one of the main causes of recurrent late miscarriages and preterm births.It causes great physical and psy-chological damage to women of childbearing age,and its resulting premature births cause a series of social and family problems.There is no unified diagnostic standard for cervical insufficiency,and the clinical diagnosis is made mainly by integrating the medical history,typical clinical manifestations and ultrasonographic findings.It is currently believed that cervical cerclage is the most effective way to treat cervical incompetence.
